A little about us!

My name is Amanda Watkins I’m the founder & owner of Wags K9 Services.

I started my business & my grooming career in 2017 as a mobile Dog groomer after completing the 1st stage (CSP) of the ICMG qualification.

After 3.5 years of being mobile I felt it was time to expand the business with opening a grooming salon & training school so that I could then also offer training for other to be able to become dog groomers.
With the success of the grooming salon & training school I then wanted to focus on the nutrition side of the dog’s wellbeing, so I opened a K9 dedicated Pet shop to help with dogs nutrition & health.

Since opening the salon, I have continued with my grooming education & now hold a Certified Professional grooming qualification with the hope of completing the ICMG (international certified Master Groomer) qualification in the up & coming year.

I also attend Grooming competition & have competed a few times. I find grooming competitions are not always about winning & placing but about receiving feedback from industry leaders to help improve my grooming technique, standards & ultimately becoming a better groomer which I’m very passionate about.
